ULTRA WANAKA 21km

21km Race Details

Sunday, April 26th, 2026

While it may not be an ultra distance, the 21 km course is too good not to offer and perfect for runners who want a fast, runnable and scenic race.

Starting at Dublin Bay, runners leave the sandy shoreline and move quickly onto wide, open trails heading toward Albert Town.

After crossing the Clutha River, the course settles into long, flowing riverside gravel paths via the Outlet Track. The race finishes with a flat, fast run along the Wanaka lakefront, with Lake Wanaka beside you all the way to the line.

The 21 km is a highly runnable course, well suited to runners stepping up in distance or those looking for a smooth, well paced race without the demands of an ultra.
